How many Koha users are there?

There are at least 1000 Koha Users worldwide. The community is growing quickly, so check back to our Showcase regularly to see who's new to the Koha community!

Is there a complete list of Koha Users?

Since Koha is free to download and install, getting a comprehensive list of all Koha users worldwide has been challenging.

The most comprehensive list of Koha installations is currently available at http://libwebcats.org

What is libwebcats?

libwebcats is a database maintained by US library researcher Marshall Breeding.

To search for Koha libraries, choose 'Koha' as the current automation system. In fact, you can choose to look at Koha libraries by vendor (for instance 'Koha--LibLime' or 'Koha--BibLibre'). 'Koha Independent' refers to those libraries that support Koha in-house or whose vendor is unknown.

There are many more Koha installations 'in the wild'. If you find one, please let us know!

Where can I see demos?

Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)

The best way to get a feel for Koha's OPAC is to try out some live OPACs listed in the Showcase.

Keep in mind that libraries are running many versions of Koha, and many types of installations (hosted vs appliance, for instance). If a site seems slow, or boasts a look you don't like, remember to check out other installations.
